Wise thoughts about wisdom.
“Every man who knows how to read has it in his power to magnify himself, to multiply the ways in which he exists, to make his life full, significant and interesting,” says Aldous Huxley.
This is true, practical wisdom. A person, especially a youngster i.e. a person somewhat of my age, struggling to find a place in the world, often overlooks the sagacity of such words. He chases imaginary rainbows and comes to deep disappointments.
I believe this is avoidable. If we look at the analysis conducted by wise people, we get an insight into what leads to magnification of the self. Based upon my understanding of the same, it means –
One whose object of pursuit is not tainted by anger, pleasure, arrogance, abashment, ego and over-estimation of one-self, is known as a wise person.
